Umyouthworkers got a new site and a new look. I guess I decided it was time to overhaul what we had and make something fresh. I hope you all like it.
Let me explain a few things on the site. The front page (the one you are looking at right now) is a blog. The great thing about that is I can keep you up to date on the latest happenings in the Conference. For example, Summer Camp (located on the Events Page), the Youth Ministry Training happening at St. James in Tampa (also on the Events Page) or even the Youth Ministry Institute getting started by Steve Schneeberger over at First Orlando (on the Links and Stuff Page).
This site has room for job postings, links, a discussion forum, and resources. The resource page will be ever expanding because I think it will be the most used page. I want this area to become a place where not only can the Conference resource you, but you can resource each other. This can become sort of a “flea market” where you can trade information and resources back and forth from churches who have to churches who need.
When the Forums start up, you can make it a place to share stories, advice or just gripe. It is a chance to talk to others around the Conference and perhaps find a time to meet up with each other. The Forums should be up and running soon.
